Plaster Mould
Over the summer I collected a range of different objects. All the items were related, and included the colour green. The first step was to roll out red clay leaving it with quite a thick consistency. After oiling my objects, I then placed them into the wet clay; this left an embedded image of the item. I then folded all the sides of the clay up to create walls. The plaster was poured into the mould. It was then left to dry. I removed the clay away from the plaster, cleaned the surface and cut the edges to bring out the detail of the shape.
I am happy with my outcome. The red clay mould left colour on the plaster, making it look old, rustic and giving off a fossil like feel.
