As an independent 16-year-old, Kelly Hoppen was given the opportunity to design a family friend’s kitchen. This kick-started one of the most celebrated careers in the design industry.
Hoppen's ever-evolving style is shown by a subtly coordinated fusion of East meets West; clean lines, neutral tones and fantastic lighting.
She uses a neutral colour palett. Lightening is her key to decoration. By using quirky and interesting lighting allows her to use more simple and clean cut accesories. The lightening in her designs brings a warmth and a homely feel to a very modern room.
Her contemporary designs shows elegance, beauty and comfort. Her use of flowers and plants brings in the outdoors, giving a fresh look.
Kelly Hoppen is one of my favourite interior designs. I came across her when she launched a design show on t.v and since then she has grown and her sophisticated style is becoming known to everyone interested in design. Her participation on Dragon's Den shows how her career has been transformed through the power of determination and the desire to design.
